Our Story

Axeldor Engineering was established in 2019 with a single conviction: bridge engineering should be precise, transparent, and focused on long-term safety. Our founders saw a gap in the market for engineering firms that could communicate complex structural analysis in accessible terms while maintaining rigorous technical standards.

Over five years, we've grown from a two-person team to a collaborative group of structural engineers, field technicians, and data analysts. We've audited steel structures across British Columbia, deployed 150+ monitoring systems, and designed transit infrastructure serving thousands of daily commuters. More importantly, we've built relationships with municipalities, transit authorities, and engineering firms who trust us to tell the truth about their infrastructure—even when that truth requires difficult decisions.

How We Work
Our Values
Our Approach
Methodology

We believe infrastructure should be engineered once and trusted forever. Precision, transparency, and measurable safety outcomes guide every project.

Engineering as Responsibility

We believe bridge engineering is fundamentally about responsibility. Every cable carries weight. Every joint experiences stress. Every inspection informs a decision that affects real people. We approach our work with that weight in mind. We use established engineering standards, not shortcuts. We explain our findings clearly because you should understand your infrastructure. We stand behind our assessments with professional certifications and liability insurance.

What Drives Every Decision

Four principles shape how we approach every bridge assessment, monitoring deployment, and client interaction across British Columbia and beyond.

Structural Integrity First

Safety isn't negotiable. We apply rigorous analysis and conservative assumptions to every assessment.

📊

Data-Driven Decisions

Monitoring and analysis guide our recommendations. Intuition matters, but numbers decide.

🤝

Clear Communication

Technical excellence means nothing if it's not understood. We translate engineering into actionable insights.

⏱️

Accountability

We deliver what we promise, on schedule, with full documentation and professional liability coverage.

From Assessment to Insight

Every engagement begins with a thorough site assessment. We combine field inspection data with our structural health monitoring systems to build a complete picture of infrastructure condition. Our reporting translates complex findings into clear, prioritized recommendations that clients can act on immediately.

1

Site Assessment

Comprehensive field inspection using standardized protocols and digital documentation tools.

2

Data Analysis

Trusted by Engineers and Municipalities

"Axeldor doesn't just deliver reports—they partner with you. When we had questions about their fatigue analysis, they took time to walk us through the methodology. That's rare in engineering consulting."

Patricia Lucero
Chief Engineer — BC Bridges Authority

"We've worked with larger firms, but Axeldor brings something different: genuine expertise without the corporate overhead. They're responsive, thorough, and they actually care about getting the right answer."

Michael Zhang
Director of Planning — City of Vancouver Engineering Department
